City of Helotes No Solicitation Policy for City-Sponsored Events
No Solicitation Policy
The City of Helotes maintains a No Solicitation Policy covering all its City-sponsored events, including, but not limited to, City parades, The MarketPlace at Old Town Helotes, Movie Night at the Park, holiday celebrations, band concerts, meetings, and other events. To provide a distraction-free environment for our event staff and attendees, we do not allow solicitation of any kind during any event.
Additionally, City of Helotes event attendees expect that participation in City events will not result in future solicitations unless the individual specifically invites future contact. Accordingly, we ask that all participants at City of Helotes events refrain from using attendee lists or similar public information for solicitation purposes without the express permission of the City of Helotes.
Examples of prohibited solicitation activity includes, but are not limited to:
- Unauthorized distribution of printed or other materials including literature, signs, flyers, invitations, tickets, forms, etc.
- Unauthorized solicitation of funds or support for business, charitable, or personal causes
- Unauthorized promotion of non-City of Helotes events
- Electioneering or promotions by political campaigns, candidates, and/or their representatives
Any person and/or organization found to be violating this policy may be expelled from the event without refund of registration fees. Egregious and/or multiple violations of this policy may result in disqualification from future events at the discretion of the City of Helotes.
